New Year : Let\'s go a new Risbee

New year, new Risbee !

This new version of Risbee comes with new awesome functions. The debugger let's you to test your program icon by icon.

The Risbee simulator appears now: Create your Pob Robotics Suite program and your world, then click on Simulate to run a simulation with your program.

Two new tools have been added into Risbee: Oscilloscope allow you to get data from the robot to your computer. You can retrieve on this tools sensor's distance, custom data, voltage sensor and draw the evolution of this data on your computer.

Next tools, Joypad can remotely control your POB Robotics Suite robot by Wifi.

This two new tools can be open in the Tools menu of Risbee.

 

And finally, icon's help, VEX Cortex and user interface have been improved.

Discover the new Risbee software !

Risbee is a graphical programming software. The basics are the following: put icons on a grid thanks to your mouse. Each icon corresponds to a simple action which added to another one allows the programming of advanced behaviors on your robot.

Upload your program into the robot by a simple mouse press !

Risbee works on Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.

Innorobo, first cup of VEX robot !

 

 

 

On March 25th, during the first meeting of robotics Innorobo, took place the first cup of robot VEX Robotics.

Eight high school classes battle again each other. The Martinière Montplaisir high school team won the tournament thanks to his exceptionally gifted pilot.

World first european robotic exhibition !

The first European robotics exhibition Innorobo will take place in Lyon from the 23 to the 25 of March 2011. This event concerns professionals of robotics, students and teachers.

With our partner VEX Robotics, we will be attending the meeting. For the fans of VEX and POB, the most important day will be Friday, 25. There will be a competition of robots VEX with 8 classes of high school students and several conferences around robots and education presented by Pierre Seguin, POB’s CEO and Maxime Vallet, POB Education Manager.

Wifi for all in 2011!

To start 2011 in style we decided to release our Wifi module for our POB Robotics Suite.

The module allow you to program your robot wireless with Risbee, to control it using a smartphone or a tablet or control the robot by a computer.

To install the module, you have to remove the two parts that compose the robot's body, then you have to plug in the module to his slot. It's easy and safe.

If you order the robot along with the Wifi module, the module will be pre-installed.

The module will be released in february and you can found this new module on our store!

French robotics meets reflation minister Mr Devedjian

POB-Technology and the different French robotics companies (that are 8 in total) have been welcomed by Mr Patrick Devedjian October-26th, 2010 in Paris. Mr Devdejian is in charge of the French “plan de relance de l’économie” (Economic Stimulus Plan to find an appropriate English equivalent).

Thanks to this opportunity, POB-Technology did introduce its brand new range of products, the POB Robotics Suite. This range is fully adapted to the Educational market and especially to middle-schools thanks to its large variety of software fitting to different user skills.

Mr Patrick Devedjian showed a real interest in new technologies integrated in several robotics products. He strongly recommends public authorities to study the possibility of integrating those technologies in the educational curriculum and especially in middle-schools.

POB-Technology which is a SYROBO (European Robotics Association) member was pretty happy to be part of this robotics gathering. It created a very enriching communication exchange between participants in this “still” young and creative market environment where development and collaboration business perspectives are numerous.

The new Risbee version is available!

A new Risbee version, our graphical programming software, is available to download on our web site.

This new version comes with a new functionnality : an integrated simulator.

This simulator allows you to quickly test your program before sending it to the robot.

Moreover, the graphical interface has been updated with a new skin.

Finally, POB-Tools has been updated to allow the support of the POB Robotics Suite.

Mondial du modélisme

POB was present on «Le Mondial  du Modélisme » which took place at “La Porte de Versailles” in Paris  from June-17th  to June-20th, 2010. We did propose and sell products that are sold on Robot-Advance (www.robot-advance.com), our online web shop. For the first time in its history, this gathering did open its doors to robotics thanks to a 54m2 stand which was located at the entrance of this event.

This event has been a great success and gathered more than 40.000 people. Robot-Advance did introduce high tech products such as robotics vacuum cleaners from various brands (Asus with its E-Clean – Irobot with its Roomba range, etc.  Humanoid robots eere as well presented such as the Biloid range from Robotis or the famous Mindstorms NXT2.0 from Lego and many more other great products.
